About Me
Hello! I'm Felix, born in the beautiful city of Valdivia, Chile, in 1983. From an early age, I delved into the fascinating world of computing. At the age of 8, I began exploring programming, creating small programs that helped me with school tasks on my Atari 800XL using Logo.
My innate curiosity to understand how things work led me to dismantle and rebuild various electronic devices, a skill that, by the age of 12, became a source of income repairing computers and installing software for those seeking technical solutions.
At 15, I developed my first commercial management and administration programs using FoxPro, laying the groundwork for a career filled with achievements and discoveries. It was at 16 when I encountered Linux — specifically Mandriva — an initially challenging experience that planted the seeds of my preference for open-source operating systems. Since then, I've remained faithful to this philosophy, adopting openSUSE as my preferred operating system.
My enrollment in the Austral University of Chile to study Civil Engineering in Computer Science solidified my vocation. I quickly discovered a natural affinity for algorithm development and logical problem-solving, which led to my distinction in the field. During this period, I actively participated in projects both on and off-campus, including contributions to the development and implementation of the IPv6 protocol in LATAM.
It was during university where my preference for being a Full Stack developer crystallized. The ability to work on all aspects of a project — from design to implementation — greatly appealed to me.
Over time, I transitioned to a formal professional career, joining the GTD Group. Here, I played key roles in developing innovative solutions: from television rating analysis platforms to deploying Chile's first virtual mobile operator (MVNO). My experience encompassed number portability solutions, distributed database deployments, and the development of products related to wireless services.
In 2020, I decided to pivot my career by joining Bloqs4Good, where I had the honor of serving as the company's CTO. Here, I applied my Blockchain certifications and contributed to the development of distributed, highly available, and secure solutions, exploring FaaS, SaaS, and IaaS services.
Today, I dedicate myself to advising companies, leading projects, and providing specialized support, always committed to seeking out the best available technologies.
